I am sending this letter to you to thank you for all you have done. I could not have asked for two more caring and professional people to do work at my home. I have had a lot of very hard days in the past four months since the death of my husband. My husband and I talked a lot about what we wanted to do to the yard, once I had my youngest daughter and he recovered from his back surgery. My husband and I recently had a house built in The Ranches at Pinehurst and were fortunate enough to have found Clay & Natalie Balke and their company, Earth Works. We began working with Earth Works in May 2003. At that time, Earth Works provided us with an outstanding plan for the landscaping and irrigation of our new home. John and I were very impressed and decided to allow Earth Works to go ahead with the plan. Our irrigation system has 24 zones and covers approximately 3 of our 5 acres.

I have known Natalie & Clay Balke, of Earth Works, for approximately three years. They both are very responsible and conscientious with regards to keeping our yard and landscaping very well maintained. Earth Works employees are also very sufficient and hardworking. Several years ago, I was somewhat frustrated with my landscaping. Each year I would contract for new plants only to have them not last through the growing season. I was visiting my neighbor and noticed that she always had a very nice landscape and really didn’t seem to have much in the way of upkeep which is what I was looking to have.

She proceeded to give me Natalie’s name and highly recommended I contact her as she had been using Natalie for years and was highly satisfied with the professionalism and knowledge she brought to the landscape.

Natalie came out and immediately after my explaining that I was looking for a landscape that was low maintenance and one that I couldn’t kill. After a rough sketch of my property, she proceeded to move plants, replace some plants and really brought my landscape alive. Natalie was very open to doing this a year at a time so it was not a very large expense each year and utilized the plants I had not killed in a very novel and interesting landscape.

Needless to say, I am very pleased and have continued the relationship with Natalie & Clay (he also installed a rain monitor – so it’s one stop shopping) over the years and absolutely love my landscaping!
